The National Council of Jewish Women St. Louis (NCJWSTL) is partnering with Congregation Shaare Emeth to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade court ruling with a program at Shaare Emeth (11645 Ladue Road, St. Louis, MO) on Sunday, January 22 from 2 to 4 PM. The Abortion Stories event is based around a traveling exhibit called Focus on Abortion: Americans Share Their Stories. For more information about the exhibit, please email Debbie Bram at dbram@sestl.org.

All too often, discussions in this country regarding abortion do not involve the most important voices: the voices of those who have experienced abortion. The Focus on Abortion exhibit seeks to correct his omission by giving a platform to these voices that span every geographic area, generation, and socioeconomic background. Sharing these complex and nuanced stories has the potential to mitigate the profound stigma that surrounds abortion in the United States.

The program on January 22nd will feature speakers sharing their own Abortion Stories from the pre-, during, and post-Roe eras. Light refreshments will be provided. There is no cost to attend the event but registration is required; interested parties may register at https://sestl.co/abortionstories
