Hannah G. Solomon Founder’s Award

The highest honor that the NCJW–St. Louis Section can bestow upon an individual(s) or couple is the Hannah G. Solomon Founder’s Award. This prestigious award is a longstanding tradition in the Section. While it is named after NCJW’s founder, Hannah G. Solomon, one does not need to be a member of our organization to be eligible. Recipients have included a wide variety of people: government officials, NCJW members and non-members, educators, and community leaders, both men and women. Award Criteria (one or more of the following):

  • Exemplify the NCJW mission of improving the quality of life for women, children, and families.
  • Expand and promote the status of women in vital areas of community life.
  • Work to ensure and advance individual and civil rights.
  • Provide leadership that has motivated others to fight for progress and enlightenment in our community
