What’s Next in Voting Rights?

For the past 15 years, the Missouri legislature has attempted to impose strict voter ID requirements in order for voters to cast a ballot.

Because this has the potential to impact people with low income and limited resources, Christine Dragonette of the College Church Outreach Program has been providing assistance with Missouri State ID cards and birth certificates. The program developed out of a recognized need in the community for both logistical and financial assistance in obtaining IDs and birth certificates.

For NCJWSTL’s September Lunch & Learn, we are thrilled to welcome Christine Dragonette, who will speak about the impact of the program in the community, and NCJWSTL State Policy Advocacy Chair Amy Kuo Hammerman will focus on what to expect during the next legislative session.

*September’s Lunch & Learn will take place on the fourth Thursday in September because of the High Holidays.
