School-to-Prison Pipeline

Black students are 4-6 times more likely to be suspended than their white peers, funneling many into the prison system and perpetuating the cycle of poverty, low educational attainment and structural inequities that span generations. Daniela Velazquez from the ACLU will share details of their initiative on unequal discipline and ways we can support those efforts and help improve outcomes for minority youth.
