June is Pride month! While it will look different this year, the LGBTQ community and its allies are determined to celebrate and educate all month long.

The 2020 Missouri legislative session saw some of the most egregious anti-trans legislation in this nation’s history. NCJWSTL was proud to stand with our coalition partners in our effort to fight these cruel bills. One such organization is MTUG – the Metro Trans Umbrella Group, is a grassroots non profit dedicated to providing social emotional support a for transgender adults in the metro region. Please join us for our June virtual Lunch and Learn as we hear from MTUG’s Executive Director and Co-founder, Sayer Johnson. He will tell us how we can continue to support the LGBTQ community during the pandemic.

Sayer is a proud out queer transgender man, partner, papi to three kiddos and lifelong organizer. He has dedicated this part of his activist life to building power for transgender adults.
He is also the founder of the trans queer flat an affordable affirming housing option for transgender adults.He is producer and assistant director in the documentary Trans Geek Movie. He is also an amazing speaker and storyteller – you do not want to miss this!
