We are delighted to honor Honorable Jill Schupp with the 2024 NCJWSTL Hannah G. Solomon Founder's Award!
Jill’s political career began in 2000 as a member of the Ladue School Board, where she served for six years including two terms as President. In 2007, she was elected to the Creve Coeur City Council. In 2014, Schupp was elected to the Missouri Senate. She was re-elected to the senate 2018, defeating Republican Gregory Powers. She represented the 24th Senate district, which is located in St. Louis County, until 2023. In the State House, Schupp championed legislation which made workplace environments smoke-free; protected children in unlicensed daycare settings, allowed seniors the opportunity to age in their own homes and continually fought legislation that shifted tax burdens onto the middle class. Her commitment to her constituents never wavered as she backed bills protecting our youngest and oldest citizens, supported veterans, promoted quality education, expanded health care access and created jobs and opportunities for economic growth. Jill’s support for the underrepresent makes her a perfect HGS Honoree.
