Project Renewal is a program that empowers underserved women by helping them gain new skills and build confidence to take control of their lives and achieve their goals.

Who Do We Help?

We partner with local organizations that provide residential housing to women going through difficult times, with a focus on women who are victims of domestic violence, recovering from addiction, suffering with mental health issues or making a transition from homelessness.

How Do We Help?

Project Renewal participants visit NCJWSTL for a day of learning, shopping and pampering. They leave feeling uplifted, renewed, valued and empowered.

Each participant receives a gift card to The Resale Shop where they are able to get everything from clothes and shoes to housewares.

We provide training that focuses on specialized skills to help participants achieve their specific goals, whether that is gaining meaningful employment or renting their first apartment.

Participants also receive hair, skin and makeup tips along with a complimentary beauty makeover for an entirely renewed sense of self-confidence. Each woman leaves with a gift bag containing beauty care products.

What Is Our Impact?

Project Renewal is often life-changing for participants. These women are able to gain valuable skills they can put to use every day to help manage their personal and professional lives, such as budgeting, resume writing and job interviewing.
